Jackson County Commissioners designated county bridges for the County Improvements for Roads and Bridges (CIRB) 5-year Plan for FY 2017 and FY 2018, and discussed other items on the agenda during their regular meeting held Monday morning, Aug. 12, in the Commissioners’ office of the Courthouse.

Commissioners selected a bridge from District #1 located one mile west and one half mile south of Blair to be replaced during FY 2017, and a bridge in District #3 located six miles west and one and eight-tenths of a mile south of Altus for FY 2018. The CIRB 5-year plan allows counties in Oklahoma to designate one bridge almost every year to be repaired or replaced, according to District #3 Commissioner Cary Carrell.

Commissioners also approved Commissioners’ Sale by Jackson County Treasurer Renee Howard on property acquired at resale including Lot 11 & 12 at 612 E. Liveoak for a bid of $300, and Lot 4 at 721 N. Blain for a bid of $150.

Commissioners tabled an item regarding the renewal of membership with Air Evac Lifeteam, FY 2013-2014, for county employee.

County Treasurer Howard reported on collections from the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) for the month of June. The OTC collected for County Sales Tax the amount of $110,824,.05, down $3,048.73 from July collections, and for County Use Tax the amount of $4,245.04, down $731.74 from July collections.

Commissioners approved minutes from the previous meeting, and reports from the Court Clerks office for $131,777.28 and from the County Election Board for $2735.60. There were no blanket purchase orders.

After approval of claims the meeting adjourned.
