The Jackson County Commissioners appointed a representative to serve on the Altus Local Development Act Review Committee during their regular meeting held on Monday morning, Sept. 9, in the Commissioners’ Office of the County Courthouse.

District #1 Commissioner Marty Clinton was selected to serve as a member of the review committee, representing the taxing jurisdiction of Jackson County. A motion was made to appoint Clinton since the location for establishing a tax increment financial district is located in District #1 at the Altus/Quartz Mtn. Regional Airport.

Commissioners also approved a lease agreement between Capri Mini and Boat Storage Co., and the Jackson County Clerk for one storage unit on a monthly basis.

They also approved the Publication of Commissioners Proceedings for the month of August, minutes from the last meeting, reports to include the Court Clerk’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, District Attorney’s Office, Sheriff’s Office, and the Election Board, and approved a blanket purchase order for District #3.

There was no new business. After approval of claims, the meeting adjourned.
