‘Show Your Glow’ 5K Fun Run/Walk to raise money P.E. programs

September 18, 2013

Show Your Glow 5K Fun Run/Walk is a fun, family run designed to raise money for student physical education programs at Altus Public Schools. It will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 7 p.m., at the Altus City Reservoir.

According to event sponsor Lexie Herron, Miss Altus Outstanding Teen, kids need to know that staying healthy by eating right and exercising can be fun, and that’s just what this event is helping to do because funds raised for the event will be used for P.E. programs at the elementary schools.

Registration is $10 until Oct. 4, or $15 the day of the run. Registration forms are available at each school office and can also be turned in there. Both checks and cash are accepted. Make checks payable to “Forever Fit.” *You can also register on the day of the run from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at the reservoir. (No guarantee on getting a shirt at this time, and there are no refunds of registration fees.)

There will be awards for the top male and top female.

To fit in with the theme of the event, glow sticks will be available upon check-in, or feel free to bring your own.
