Rhoden arrested on rape charges

Altus Police are currently investigating a sexual assault that was reported in the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 28.

According to Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy, the victim told police she was at a party at 601 West Commerce. She went into a bedroom to sleep, and was later awakened by a man who was committing the sexual assault against her.

The victim and witnesses identified the suspect as Knighe Rhoden, 18. Rhoden was interviewed by police and was later arrested on charges of 1st degree rape.

Rhoden is being held at the Jackson County Jail.
