Medical equipment taken

October 11, 2013

According to Michael Canada of Jackson County EMS, on Wednesday evening an equipment bag was taken from one of the ambulances while the crew was eating at a local restaurant. The bag is green in color and contains numerous life saving medical devices.

Canada said that the loss of this equipment is not just a financial loss to the agency, but a loss to our community.

“It is unbelievable that someone would take valuable life saving equipment that the people of our community depend on in medical emergencies,” he said.

If anyone knows anything about this event, or may find this bag or any of the equipment, contact Jackson County EMS at 580-477-4112.

“Jackson County EMS appreciates the people of our community and does our best to serve them,” Canada added.
