Two 16-year-old juveniles have been arrested in connection with a recent automobile theft from Putnam Toyota. Altus Police arrested the two late last night.
According to Police Chief Tim Murphy, an off duty dispatcher, from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, notified police at around 11:30 p.m. that she saw two subjects exit the stolen vehicle and enter Wal-Mart. Officers converged on the store and made contact with the suspects as they exited the store.
The two were taken into custody and transported to the Altus Police Department, and were later transported to the Comanche County Juvenile Detention Center in Lawton.
The vehicle, a 2014 Scion 2 door hatchback blue in color, was reported stolen earlier in the day from Putnam Toyota.
