Dr. Terry Mosley, Executive Director of Quartz Mountain Arts & Conference Center and Nature Park, has announced that the Lodge is under new management. On Nov. 21 , Jerry Christopher joined their team as Lodge General Manager.

“We’re excited to have someone of Jerry’s caliber coming to Quartz Mountain. Jerry is from the area and brings a wealth of Hospitality experience to the position,” said Mosley. Jerry joins the Quartz Mountain management team of Glen Kirk Park Manager and Larry Sole Golf Course Superintendent / Pro Shop Manager.

In the last year there have been a lot of improvements and changes at Quartz Mountain. On the North Shore, Cottonwood Campground has five new 50 amp RV sites and a pedestrian trail, with bridges over sloughs that connect it to Eagle Roost ATV Area. While in the Main Park, the dynamite shack has a new roof. Of course, Cedar Valley had a massive fire in July but with Scout help we are gathering the burned & down trees into log piles that will provide wildlife habitat. Larry Sole has brought a new attitude to the Golf Course and it looks better every month.

The Park Office and Nature Center at Quartz Mountain will be closed Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Nature Center will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 . The Golf Course will be open Friday after Thanksgiving-weather permitting.

While the offices are closed the Park, trails, Lodge and Golf Course remain open. If you need to stretch your legs and make some room for more pumpkin pie, please drive out to Quartz Mountain and walk some of the trails. There may be Bald Eagles flying overhead and deer will definitely be out where you can snap some photos of them.
