AHS girls fall, look to Lady Bulldog Classic

WEATHERFORD - It was a difficult night for the Altus High Lady Bulldogs in their Tuesday game with the Weatherford Lady Eagles. The Lady Bulldogs struggled offensively and were defeated 58-37.

Things began to unravel for Altus in the second quarter. Kiandra Knight hit a shot midway through the period and the Lady Bulldogs trailed 18-10.

However, Weatherford ran off 15 unanswered points and took a 33-10 lead into the halftime intermission.

Altus never got back into the game.

Carsyn King paced the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points. Knight finished with nine points.

Altus is 0-3 on the season and will play Lawton Eisenhower here on Thursday. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. It will be a part of the Lady Bulldog Classic which was postponed last week because of the weather. At 5 p.m. Cache will play Lawton MacArthur at 5 p.m. The winners will play at 3:30 Saturday and the losers of those game will play at 2 p.m. Saturday.

On Friday Altus will play a 6:30 p.m. game at Duncan in a regular season game.
