‘Off the Wall’ dancers start competition season with a win

Dancers from Off the Wall Dance Productions under the instruction of Leah Wall competed in Tulsa over the weekend at Tremaine Dance Conventions and Competition. Internationally known choreographer/teacher, Joe Tremaine, and nationally known dance educator/business consultant, Julie Adler, along with a staff of working professional choreographers and teachers, gather to conduct classes for teachers, assistant teachers, senior, teen, and junior dancers from around the world. The latest in dance techniques is presented during each exciting convention.
This past weekend in Tulsa, Off the Wall Dancers did a fabulous job in the competition phase of the convention. The Junior Off the Wall Company competed in three group routines; Jazz, Tap and Ballet; bringing home two first place trophies and a second place trophy. The Teen/Senior Off the Wall Company also competed in three group routines; Jazz, Tap and Ballet bringing home first place in all three categories. Senior soloist, Alyssa Pickering, brought home a first place trophy for her ballet solo. Teen soloist, Olivia McFadden, also brought home a first place trophy for her ballet solo. Junior soloist, Sydney Berry, brought home a second place trophy for her jazz solo. Four students received special achievement awards; Chloe Owenby for ballet, Gaby Cantu for Tap, Sydney Berry for Tap and Aliyah Gutierrez for Hip Hop. Olivia McFadden was recognized during the audition phase of the convention and received a full scholarship to the next Tremaine Convention that Off the Wall attends which will be held in Dallas, Texas in July.
