Altus Christian Academy has a vision to provide an after-school fine arts institute for Altus and Southwest Oklahoma. The first step in that vision is to launch a Fine Arts Mini-Institute this summer. The institute will provide the following four fine arts disciplines: Art, Dance, Drama and Music for children entering grades 3 through 6 in fall of 2014.
Dana Darby, Superintendent of Altus Christian Academy, states, “I am very pleased for ACA to bring new opportunities for the children of our area to experience the arts. We have fantastic local instructors for the different programs committed to providing a great week of learning and fun. I am very excited about this inaugural camp; and we do appreciate the community’s involvement and support.”
The first annual ACA Fine Arts Mini-Institute will focus on the four disciplines previously mentioned. Every child will participate in each of the four areas daily. All students in the Altus area are invited to apply to the institute. For more cost or other information, please contact Altus Christian Academy at (580) 477-2511.
ACA is excited to offer this first mini-institute and to promote the fine arts in our community. The Altus Christian Academy Fine Arts Mini-Institute will be July 7 through July 11, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
