Democratic nominee for Oklahoma Governor, Joe Dorman, visited Altus on Friday, June 27, beginning with a visit to the Jackson County Courthouse. Dorman said he was visiting the Southwest Oklahoma area to give people the opportunity to get to know him better, and hopes to win their votes in the November election.

Dorman was the State Representative for Rush Springs, for 12 years and is running for the office of Governor to increase government transparency, better education and jobs, and improved health care.

A reception was held at the home of Blake Darby on Friday evening.
