Local Toastmaster honored as Competent Leader

Toastmaster Anthony Bunch of the Altus Red River Toastmasters Club was recently recognized for completion of roles and projects designed to enhance his skills as a leader.

He earned his Competent Leadership Award by fulfilling specific leadership tasks and roles as a club member. To achieve the award of Competent Leader, members must complete projects that enhance their abilities to listen, think critically, plan, facilitate, motivate, mentor and build a team.

Anthony Bunch, the Airfield Manager at Altus Air Force Base, is currently the outgoing Vice President of Education for the Red River Toastmasters Club. In addition, he is a mentor for the newly established Talkin’ Lawton Toastmasters Club in Lawton. He continues to work toward achieving Toastmasters educational goals while helping others achieve theirs.

The Red River Toastmasters Club meets each Tuesday at the Southwest Technology Center from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend at any time.
