Hoehne retires from Tipton Music Night

by Bill Johns

August 6, 2014

Monday’s Tipton Music Night was very successful with 134 folks there for an evening of country and gospel music. Music Night is held on the first Monday of each month, and was started in August 2007.

About two months after starting, Walter Hoehne agreed to handle the emcee duties for Music Night. Even though Walter has been battling several severe health issues he handled those duties with extreme diligence and devotion to making Tipton Music Night a successful event.

The time finally came last week when Walter and Theresa decided that he had to reduce his workload and concentrate on his health problems. It was sadness that he tendered his resignation to the Music Night crowd. The musicians and audience were equally sad to learn of the seriousness of the health problems and to realize that Walter will no longer be the face of Music Night. A replacement for Walter has not been determined at this date.

Walter and Theresa - The town of Tipton, the musicians, and the regulars of Music Night say “Thanks for the memories, you will be in our prayers.”
