Units from both Altus fire stations responded to a fire call at 715 W. Corbin at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday after a clothes dryer caught on fire. The dryer is shown in the back yard of the residence, above. According to reports, although the fire is still under investigation, it is thought to have started because there was no lint trap or outside hose. There were no injuries. Fire fighters returned to the residence at 10:54 p.m. after the fire rekindled.
