Kitchen equipment for Senior Center on Council agenda

Regular meetings of the Altus Municipal Authority and Altus City Council will be held this coming Tuesday, Sept. 1 at City Hall. The AMA meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the Council meeting will begin immediately following.

The AMA agenda includes a check presentation for $20,000 for CUP certification, as well as an update from Jennifer Rogers of OMPA.

The award for bids for fiberglass poles will be voted on, as well as approving minutes from the Aug. 18 meeting, acknowledgement of a receipt of claims list, financial reports, and any other business that has arisen since the posting of the agenda.

The Altus City Council agenda includes an acknowledgement of a letter from CableOne announcing an increase in high speed internet charges, and reports from Main Street Altus and the Southern Prairie Library System.

A resolution will be considered to make application to grant funds for the Altus Senior Citizens Center to purchase kitchen equipment. Council will also consider an addendum to the amended renewal of the Altus Community Work Center contract to add the use of inmates by Southwest Oklahoma Community Action at Lincoln Center and the Wilson Center.

In executive session, Council will discuss the purchase or appraisal of real property, and in open session, vote to take any appropriate action.

If there is no new business that has arisen since the posting of the agenda, the Mayor may make appointments, hear comments from the City Manager and Council before adjourning.
