Inmates incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail seen on felony and misdemeanor charges

Defendants incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail in district court made first appearances before Judge Brad Leverett and District Attorney Ken Darby.

First appearances are held weekly and provide defendants the opportunity to hear their charges, bond amount, court date and to discuss legal counseling options with the judge and district attorney.

Jordan Revilla, 19 of Altus, was arrested on charges of second-degree rape and forcible sodomy. A court date is scheduled for Revilla at 1:15 p.m. September 11 with a $25,000 bond for each count.

Laura Wehunt, 37 of Oakwood, Ga., was arrested on a charge of trespassing after being forbidden. A court date is scheduled for Wehunt at 1:15 p.m. September 18 with a $25,000 bond.

Connie Clark, 25 of Altus, was arrested on a charge of possession of forged notes or instruments. A court date is scheduled for Clark at 9 a.m. September 11 with a $20,000 bond.

David Barton, 47 of Altus, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery by strangulation. A court date is scheduled for Barton at 9 a.m. September 18 with a $10,000 bond.

Chelsea Kinzer, 26 of Altus, was arrested for overdue court costs and a motion to accelerate two charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance from 2016. A court date is scheduled for Kinzer at 9 a.m. September 11 with a $10,000 bond for each count.

Jefferey Ledbetter, 40 of Oklahoma City, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. A court date is scheduled for Ledbetter at 9 a.m. September 18 with a $2,500 surety bond.

Joshua Mealer, 37 of Mangum, was arrested on a motion to revoke on a charge of larceny of a merchandise retailer from 2013. A court date is scheduled for Mealer at 2:30 p.m. August 30 with an $800 cash bond.

Jennifer Feazel, 45 of Altus, was arrested on two charges of identity and theft use of personal information. A court date is scheduled for Feazel at 1:15 p.m. September 7 with a $500 cash bond.

Britney Martinez, 33 of Granite, pleaded guilty to a charge of resisting an officer. Martinez was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served, a $100 fine and court costs.

Defendants who have bonded out of jail are seen at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Jackson County Courthouse at 101 N. Main st. to have a court date scheduled.

First appearances are held at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Jackson County Jail at 600 S. Main St. for defendants held on district court charges. For defendants held on city charges, contact the Altus Municipal Court Clerk, Tracy Sullivan at 580-481-2207.
