One Hot Ticket

By Mary Esparza, -

Tonight is the playoff game between the Altus Bulldogs and the Guthrie Bluejays. Fans were anxious to get their playoff tickets when sales opened on Thursday morning. Within three hours, the Altus Athletic Department had sold 990 tickets. As of this morning, ticket sales were up to 1,400. The stadium will seat 5,000, but the school is planning on providing additional seating for tonight’s game.

Administrative Secretary Christy Duffy stated, “Ticket buyers have been so excited and happy, everyone is ready for playoff football.”

All Veteran’s with ID, along with one guest, can enter the game for free. Tickets still can be purchased at the Altus High School main office, as well as at the gate tonight. Gates and booths at the stadium open at 5:30 p.m., and seating is on a first come basis, no reserve sections. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m at Hightower Memorial Stadium.
