County sales tax collections up

The Jackson County Commissioner’s held their regular scheduled meeting Monday in the Commissioner’s office in the Jackson County Courthouse.

From officers reports, Jackson County Treasurer Renee Howard noted the county sales tax collections from the State of Oklahoma for November was $115,810.51. This is up $4,563.84 more than last month. The Use Tax collections from the State was $9,951.17 in November, a total of $4,815.17 more than last month.

Action to correct Jackson County six-month bids for Jan. 1, 2016 -June 30, 2016, on item #3, for patching materials and item #11 tires was approved.

Approval was given for Commissioners’ Sale by Jackson County Treasurer, Renee Howard on property acquired at resale: Lot 3, Block 80 , Crain’s ADD., Altus located at 712 W. Walnut.

Commissioners agreed to allow the action on circuit engineering district auction policies to sell surplus items, and equipment in the upcoming Statewide County Equipment Auction in Elk City on March 11 and 12 at the Elk City Convention Center.

The meeting adjourned with no new business or claims.
