Altus Police are investigating a burglary at Church’s Chicken, 820 N. Main. The incident was reported early Monday morning shortly before 2:30 a.m.
According Police Chief Tim Murphy, police responded after receiving an alarm. “After arriving they discovered the back door was open,” said Murphy. “After entering the building, police discovered the suspect(s) took two bank bags with an undetermined amount of cash from the safe.”
Murphy said that the bank bags were found Monday evening an alley in the 1000 block of N. Grady. The area is approximately two blocks north of the crime scene.
