Land to be donated for Warren Fire Station

The Danny Winters family will donate a portion of their land on the the N.E. corner of the intersection of State Hwy. 19 and S. County Rd. 211 to serve as the building ground for a new Warren Fire Station.

Now, they see there is a need for a new fire station in Warren. The new station will have much more convenient and spacious area for parking vehicles.

There are 22 volunteer firefighters that serve the Warren area including Lewis Timbrook, a certified paramedic. Richard McMahon serves as the fire chief.

The Winters family has been in possession of the land for the last three years. Danny’s great-great grandparents, John William and Sarah homesteaded on 160 acres at White Oak Creek in 1889, making it a century farm. Along with the Winters’ property, the land owned by the Roaches, the Hunters and the Woolridges is also century farms.
