One-Stop Enrollment will be held on Friday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Altus High School Cafeteria. One Stop Enrollment is for all students enrolling for the first time in Altus Public Schools or Head Start. Please bring the following items: Proof of residency (such as property title, current utility bill, or rent receipt), birth certificates for students entering school for the first time (K & Pre-K), current immunization records, Social Security numbers for each child (optional), previous school records, and proof of custody (for children not living with a parent). Altus Kiwanis Club will be providing breakfast pastries. Back to School immunizations will be provided by the Jackson County Health Department during One-Stop Enrollment at the AHS campus.

The Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma on the Jackson County Memorial Hospital campus is recruiting volunteer drivers for the 12-passenger van that provides transportation for cancer patients. Volunteer drivers must have a current driver’s license. The volunteer application can be picked up at the cancer center at 1200 East Broadway.
