Five people were arrested in connection with a prolific methamphetamine manufacturing set-up on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.
Leitchfield Police Department, along with the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, carried out a search warrant at a residence located at 620 South Clinton Street in Leitchfield.
During a search of the property, officers discovered approximately 20 one-pot methamphetamine labs and five hydrogen chloride generators (a device used in methamphetamine production), along with ingredients commonly used in the manufacturing process, according to Officer Norman Chaffins, who said that drug paraphernalia was also found at the scene.
Among those arrested were 27-year-old Curtis Hayse of Leitchfield, 26-year-old Anthony G. Blunk of Leitchfield; and 26-year-old Amy Lyons, also of Leitchfield. Hayse, Blunk and Lyons were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
20-year-old Alexander Kerr and 20-year-old Adam Barton, both of Leitchfield, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
All five people arrested were transported to the Grayson County Detention Center where they were lodged on the aforementioned charges.
According to Chaffins, the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
