The Altus Association of Realtors kicks off the 15th annual Coats for Kids drive with a donation of $750 presented to Fire Chief Jerry Abbott of the Altus Fire Department. Every year the Fire Department hosts this annual drive, collecting donations to distribute new coats for eligible children and teenagers in Southwest Oklahoma.

“The continued support we see every year is what keeps this program going. It is truly gratifying to see businesses like the Altus Association of Realtors step up every year, calling us ready to help” says Chief Abbott. The Fire Department will be accepting donations for Coats for Kids until the end of the year. If you would like to help by giving the gift of warmth, you can bring donations to the Central Fire station at 115 N. Spurgeon. For more information contact Altus Fire/Rescue at 481-2231.
