The Altus Rotary Club presented Paul Harris Fellow Awards to club members in recognition of their gifts to the Rotary Foundationon, Tueday, Feb. 11. The Paul Harris Fellow award is given to Rotarians who have contributed $1000, possibly over several years, to the Rotary Foundation, or by a Rotarian that has given the money in someone’s honor.
Rotarians may earn multiple Paul Harris Awards. It is one of the most prestigious awards in Rotary and thereby named after the founder of Rotary, Paul Harris.
New Paul Harris Fellows included Henry Filmore Hartsell Jr., James Bryce Hartsell, William Fred Hartsell, Dale Latham, Jim Norris, Terri Pearson, Cyndie Smith, Terri Redding and Ellen Yates. Gary Hall and Tom Yates both received their second Paul Harris Fellow Award.
Four- time Paul Harris Fellow, Henry F. Hartsell, Sr., and seven-time Paul Harris Fellow, Haynes W. Dugan II, were presented their award pins.
A.E. Drechsler was also recognized by the club for reaching Major Donor-Level One.
