Seven individuals were arrested late last week as a result of narcotics investigations conducted by the Leitchfield Police Department (LPD) and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force (GHCNTF).

According to LPD Public Information Officer Norman Chaffins, the investigations spanned several months, and arrests were made after indictments were handed down from the Grayson County Circuit Court for numerous charges of drug trafficking and/or possession of controlled substances or drug paraphernalia.

All of the following arrests took place on either Thursday, June 5 or Friday, June 6, Chaffins said, and suspects are listed in alphabetical order by last name:

Chad Clemons, 23, of Clarkson, was indicted for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and for being a Persistent Felony Offender.

At the time these indictments were handed down, Clemons was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center (GCDC) for failing a drug test on a previous case in which he was out on bond, said Kim Willis, of the GCDC.

Kimberly Holderman, 48, of Clarkson, was arrested on an indictment warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Hydrocodone).

Holderman was later released from the GCDC on a $10,000 secured bond.

Brandy Lee, 33, of Leitchfield, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Morphine) and Trafficking in a Simulated Substance.

Lee was already lodged in the GCDC on another charge when the aforementioned indictments were handed down, according to Willis.

John McGuffin, 39, of Morgantown, was arrested on an indictment warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and for being a Persistent Felony Offender.

McGuffin is currently lodged in the GCDC on a $25,000, 50 percent-secured bond.

Acey Meredith, 26, of Leitchfield, was arrested on an indictment warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Morphine).

Meredith was released from the GCDC on Friday, June 6 on a $10,000 surety bond.

Cassandra Miller, 36, of Leitchfield, was arrested on an indictment warrant for two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree (Morphine). Miller was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in an unrelated case.

Miller is currently lodged in the GCDC on a $10,000, partially-secured bond.

Bobbie Skaggs, 34, of Munfordville, was arrested on an indictment warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and for being a persistent felony offender. Skaggs was also arrested on a second indictment for Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Skaggs was already lodged in the GCDC as a state inmate on a Hart County charge when the aforementioned indictments were handed down, Willis said.

The LPD and the GHCNTF are currently investigating several drug-related cases with numerous arrests expected to be made in the near future, Chaffins said.

The LPD and the GHCNTF were assisted in locating the aforementioned suspects and serving their arrest warrants by the Kentucky State Police, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkson Police Department, and Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
