The Jackson County Commissioners held their end-of-the-month meeting on Friday, Aug. 30, in the Commissioners’ Office of the County Courthouse and approved appropriations for the month of August. They also approved last meeting’s minutes and purchase orders for the Sheriff’s Department, County Clerk’s Office, Assessor’s Office, Health Department, Highway Fund, and the Courthouse. There were no reports, officer reports, or new business. Commissioners approved claims and the meeting adjourned.
Jackson County Commissioners will hold their next regular meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, due to the Courthouse being closed on Monday for Labor Day. During the meeting Commissioners will consideration Supplemental Appropriations for the month of August, consider appointing a representative within the taxing jurisdiction of Jackson County to serve as a member on the Altus Local Development Act Review Committee, and discuss a membership renewal with Air Evac Lifeteam representative, Christy Lovelace.
After discussion of new business and approval of claims, the meeting will adjourn.
