Quartz Mountain Ducks Unlimited chapter will hold its first Banquet, Auction, and Dinner at the Quartz Mountain Lodge on Saturday, Sept. 14. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7 p.m., with the live auction starting at 8 p.m. With this being the first event that this chapter has put together, they are working very hard to have a fun evening for all in attendance, while at the same time raising funds for wildlife and wetlands conservation.
Since 1937 through Ducks Unlimited Chapter Functions such as this upcoming chapter banquet Ducks Unlimited has raised more than $1.2 billion dollars to preserve wetlands. DU’s 18,000 projects (of which more than 200 are in Oklahoma) provide habitat for over 900 wildlife species including ducks, geese, and endangered species like Whooping cranes and Bald Eagles.
The DU chapter is asking for support through a donation of merchandise or gift certificates for: Live or silent auctions, Raffle prizes, Door prizes and Sponsorship tables. Monetary donations may be made to underwrite designated Ducks Unlimited merchandise for the auction or raffle. All donations to Ducks Unlimited are tax deductible per IRS regulations. All supporters will be recognized in the banquet program.
The Quartz Mountain Ducks Unlimited chapter has no paid staff. They are all volunteers who donate their time to wildlife and land conservation.
