There is something for everyone at the Great Plains Friends of NRA banquet to be held at the Blair Banquet Room in Blair on Saturday, Nov. 2, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The banquet features terrific food, kids give-away, a silent auction, a fun-filled live auction, and family-friendly games for chances to acquire exclusive, limited edition merchandise, firearms, knives, art, jewelry and more.

NRA Field Staff and local volunteers partner to create an event full of fun and fellowship with the goal of raising funds to promote shooting sports.

One-half of the proceeds from all banquets held in Oklahoma comes back to our state and is disbursed by FNRA State Committees in the form of grants to programs such as youth education, law enforcement training, hunter education, conservation, marksmanship training and much more. Recognizing that young people are the future and that it is important that they be taught safe, responsible gun handling, more than 80% of grant funds is frequently allocated to youth programs.

The other one-half of proceeds is used to fund programs similar to those seen at local and state levels, but with a national scope.
