The Shortgrass Institute and the Southern Prairie Library System are conducting two workshops at the Altus Public Library. One is for adults, Pastels, and the other for children, “Prismacolor Drawing for Elementary Kids.
Bobby Avila will be teaching the adult workshop, Pastels, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12, and continuing Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening. The cost is $30 and all supplies are provided.
The children’s workshop is for kids 3rd through 5th grade and will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, Nov.18, 19 and 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost of the kid’s workshop is $25 with all materials provided. Synott Matthews of Mangum will be teaching the very popular workshop – Prismacolor Drawing for Elementary Kids.
Pre-registration for either of the workshops maybe made by calling the Altus Public Library at 580-477-2890.
The art workshops are made possible with a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council.
