The Altus Municipal Authority will meet Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, immediately followed by the regular meeting of the Altus City Council.
In the AMA meeting, members will receive a presentation of the financial and operational report by the Finance Department for the period ending Nov. 30. They will also consider, discuss and vote to approve a resolution adopting the budget amendment of the AMA of the City of Altus for the fiscal year 2013-14.
Also on the agenda are bids for utility poles and wire.
The last order of business for he AMA will be to ratify a resolution to adopt Robert’s Rules of Order.
In the regular City Council meeting, the Council will consider renewing the City’s Worker’s Compensation Insurance policy, a lease with Lynne C. Collingwood, dba Dusty Covers Bookstore, receive an update and discuss issues pertaining to City payroll, and the Deputy City Manager’s position.
Other agenda items include a budget amendment, support of Phase I of the Southwest Oklahoma Water Supply Action Plan, and to inform, consider, discuss and vote upon, as applicable, water sources and products for the City of Altus.
An ordinance to establish snow and ice removal routes will then be considered, as ell as ratifying ordinances pertaining to adopting Robert’s Rules of Order, appointing a purchasing agent, and amending the City’s rental light program.
In executive session, items include a tort claim filed for Christopher Felan in the amount of $125,000 or applicable insurance limits.
The Council will then consider any motions and votes relating to it before hearing the Mayor’s appointments and comments and reports from council.
