Altus – Farmers and ranchers in Jackson County are encouraged to attend an information and outreach meeting Thursday March 6, beginning at 6 p.m. at Western Oklahoma State College, Multi-purpose Room, in Altus.

The meeting is offered by the Jackson County OSU Extension Office and will cover a variety of topics including the 2014 wheat and canola update and outlook, NAP (non-insured crop disaster assistance program), and farm bill orientation. Discussion leaders include Dr. Jody Campiche, OSU Extension Ag Policy Specialist; Jason Pace, SW District Area Ag Economy Specialist; Gary Strickland, Extension Educator, Ag/4H/CED; and Carl Josefy, FSA County Executive Director.

Pre-registration is requested (but not required) by 12 noon on Wednesday, March 5 by calling the OSU Extension Office at 580-482-0823. Dinner will be provided.
