Installation Permits were approved by Jackson County Commissioners on Monday, April 7, during their regular meeting, to allow the placement of electrical lines under two county intersections along the west edge of Altus.
The City of Altus Electric Department will install lines under the intersections of Market Road at Bradford and Tamarack as part of the City project to upgrade feeder lines to the Tamarack Substation.
Commissioners also approved supplemental appropriations for the Sheriff’s Service Fee and Assessor’s Fee for the month of March 2014.
Other items approved during the meeting include minutes from the previous meeting, and reports from the Court Clerk’s Office, County Treasurer’s Office, County Assessor’s Office, Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney’s Office and County Clerk’s Office. Purchase orders for the District 3 Drug Court Alternative Sentencing Solutions, and District 3 were approved.
Jackson County Clerk Robin Booker reported a “last day on the job” notice from Adrian Calhoun, County Clerk’s Office Payroll Clerk, effective March 31.
Jackson County Treasurer Renee Howard reported on the the Banc First quarterly statement showing sales tax amounts transferred for payments on the Jail Bond in the amounts of $115.519, $119,651, and $112,620.
After new business and approval of claims, the meeting adjourned.
