According to Minister George Dosher, one of the last showings of “Ragamuffin”, the movie by Christian music artist Rich Mullins, is coming to First Christian Church, 2501 N Park Lane, here in Altus on April 25 and 26.
The film, rated PG-13, documents Mullins rise to fame during the 80s as a Christian song writer and musician. He wrote many popular songs, including “Awesome God”, “Doubly Good to You”, and “Let Mercy Lead”.
“Ragamuffin” is based on the life of Mullins, a musical prodigy who rose to Christian music fame and fortune only to walk away and live on a Navajo reservation. Mullins died in an automobile accident at 41 years of age.
“This is one of only a few Oklahoma presentations and the last opportunity to view the movie before its release to theaters,” said Dosher.
Tickets are $10 online, with groups of 10 or more obtaining tickets for $8. The link is:
