A regular meeting of the Altus Municipal Authority will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Council chambers. A regular meeting of the Altus City Council will immediately follow.
AMA agenda items include the presentation of the financial and operational report by the Finance Department for the period ending March 31, approval of budget amendments, the bid award for wire and cable, and the award of a bid to move and install OMPA’s 69 kV transformer from Kingfisher to Altus and install it temporarily into the Nona Substation. The AMA will also consider awarding a bid for utility poles, a transformer and an adder.
Executive session items for both the AMA and the regular City Council include confidential communications regarding litigations and pending claim items pertaining to Altus Flight Academy, Inc., Aviation Training Consulting, LLC, and Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.
They will then consider any motions and votes relating to the executive session items, and consider any possible action regarding legal service agreements with attorneys for services pertaining to these items before adjourning, and starting the regular Altus City Council meeting.
Council agenda items include golf course items such as revised rates, memberships, cart rental and playing rates. They may also approve the purchase of a John Deere tractor with loader.
Council will then vote to approve the updated Emergency Operations Plan and then forward it to the State Emergency Management Office. They are also set to approve an Emergency Ordinance to comply with the new Charter.
Engineering services to expedite and maximize water transmissions to the City of Altus will be voted upon. Services provided by GaryBrickley, P.E., Fox, Drechsler & Brickley, Inc. will be discussed for rehabilitating the City’s existing booster station/storage tank at the Round Timber Well Field and any further development and/or rehabilitation of the Holloway Well Field, and to also authorize the expenditure of funds.
Council will then vote to approve a resolution adopting a revised City’s Employees’ polices and procedures manual, as well as water sources and products for the City.
The meeting will adjourn after comments and reports by the mayor and council members.
