The Jackson County Commissioners approved the updated Altus and Jackson County Emergency Operation Plan on Monday, April 22, during their regular meeting. The plan was updated to include current names of City and County Officials as delegating authorities and a following chain of succession in the event of a major emergency.


Also during the meeting, Commissioners approved minutes from the previous meeting and purchase orders for District 2 and District 3, both for Dolese Bros. Co. for rock used for roads and repairs.


Commissioners designated Sylvia Fox as a new Receiving Officer for the County Clerk’s Office and approved removal of Adrian Calhoun who gave her “last day on the job” notice effective March 31.


Commissioners approved the transfer of appropriations for the amount of $98.56 within the Treasurer’s Office from Maintenance and Operations Account to the Travel Account as reimbursement. They also approved a transfer of appropriations within the Jackson County Highway Salaries account to Highway Cash accounts in the amount of $4,117.34 as salary reimbursement to the Jackson County Emergency Manager.


Commissioners also approved an installation permit to Western Farmers Electric Co-Op to install electric line below CR 1820 located 3 miles west of Eldorado.


Commissioners then approved to reimburse $774.44 to the General Fund Account for overtime hours during the Special County Election by the Jackson County Election Board and $130 for the precinct registry reimbursement.


After approval of claims, the meeting adjourned.
