Although little Madison Mitchell is only 6 years old, she has been dealing with Biliary Atresia since birth. At 8 months old she underwent a lifesaving transplant, but still has to deal with several medical problems, and takes numerous medications daily.

Madison wants attend the 2014 Transplant Games of America that will take place this year in Houston, Texas. The TGA competitions is held for transplant recipients and donors to help promote the need for organ, eye, and tissue donation.

In order to go, Madison will need help from her community, family, and friends as sponsors for participation. All donations and sponsorships will be used for registration costs, transportation, lodging, meals, workshops, seminars, special events, uniforms and fees.

Aside from straight donations, there will also be a “Team Madison” benefit slow pitch softball tournament on Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21 at Davis Softball Fields in Altus.

Entry for the tournament is $250 per team with a deadline of June 19. Home Run Derby will be held on Saturday, June 21. General slow pitch rules will apply. Text or call Melissa Salmon at 580-318-9969 for more information.

If you would like to make a monetary contribution, an account has been set up at MidFirst Bank in Altus.

All expenses will be documents and can be provided to all sponsors and individuals who have donated. Money not used will be donated to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
