At this week’s regular meeting of the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, it was announced by Brett Willey that pediatrician Dr. Greg Oji has signed a letter of intent. He also said that Dr. Kimberly Wirths, Family Practice, will start at the JCMH Medical Clinic on Aug. 11. Willey also said that recruitment efforts continue in Family Practice, Pediatrics and Psychiatry.
In other reports, Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation were approved in the amount of $46,131.81. The board also approved a bid from Chart Links for rehab documentation software.
Michelle Ford reported from the JCMH outreach clinics. There were a total of 232 admissions and 117 outpatient surgeries and observations contributed to JCMH for the month of May. The board also approved the revised Mission, Vision and Value Statements as presented by Steve Hartgraves.
The board reviewed and approved the annual budget for the 2014-2015 fiscal year to include anticipated net patient revenues of $66,511,783 and expenses of $68,814,059 which would produce a net operating revenue of $41,704. The anticipated full-time employee equivalency would be 589.7 FTEs. This is made up of full-time and part-time employees.
The board also reviewed and approved the capital budget in the amount of $1,602,861.
The board approved a resolution appointing Steve Hartgraves as the SAC member of Heartland Healthcare Reciprocal Risk Retention Group and removing Jim King as such.
Dr. M. George Zakhary, Chief of Staff, reported from the JCMH Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting that was held on June 9. The Board approved the following recommendations:

Nancy Davidson reported on the Financials for the month of May resulting in a net loss of $691,723 and a year to date net loss of $341,305.
The board entered into executive session to discuss the attorney’s recommendation regarding corporate compliance issues.
