A personal injury collision happened on Hwy 6 near CR 1410 one mile north of Granite on Saturday morning at approximately 8:10 a.m.
According to reports, Lacey White, 22, of Granite, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 when she failed to negotiate a curve and left the road to the left, approximately 150 feet, impacting a culvert. The vehicle then rolled one complete time coming to rest on its wheels on the roadside.
White was admitted to Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, and later transferred to the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with head, trunk internal and lower extremity injuries.
Cause of the accident was said to be unsafe speed on a curve/turn. Seat belts were equipped but not in use, and airbags were equipped with the front deployed.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Justin Garrison of the Harmon County detachment of Troop M, Greer County EMS and the Granite Police Department.
