The Altus Public Library and the Hollis Public Library will be closed for one week beginning Monday, Aug. 18 through Saturday, Aug. 23 in order to install, load, test and implement a new library automation system that will provide our customers with the most current and easy to use library access system available today.
The new system will give library users 24/7 access to library materials and resources from their home computers or mobile devices. This installation requires a complete upgrade of our entire system, including data, hardware and software during which access to our library materials and databases will not be available.
The staff will be in training during the entire week and unavailable by phone. However, customers who need library services may email the library system at: firstname.lastname@example.org and every attempt will be made to answer requests. We apologize for the inconvenience but feel confident that our customers will appreciate the new access, efficiency and ease of use the new system will provide when it is up and running.
