The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4876 and Ladies Auxiliary are reaching out to welcome eligible people to join the local organization. Their main goal is to help Veterans and their families in need of assistance whether it be medical, physical issues or economic aide. Community involvement is an ongoing effort conducted by the local group.

Programs such Essay and Art contests that involve the youth at Middle and High School levels. Scouting, sports teams and youth church groups also benefit from programs offered by the organization. The Scholarship program provides $175,000 dollars every year for these programs. Americanism education programs are presented in local schools at all levels in an attempt to raise awareness of patriotism and freedom.

The Ladies Auxiliary continues to support the “Cancer Aide and Research” program by conducting such projects as Cancer Awareness Walks, Craft Fairs or Bake Sales just to mention a few in an effort to raise funds for this much needed cause. Nation wide, the Auxiliaries raised $2.3 million dollars for this program and both members and Research facilities will be funded from this program.
