The Western OklahomaState College Pioneers built a lead and and never gave it up in a 83-70 victory of Seminole Junior College here on Wednesday night.


The Lady Pioneers weren’t as fortunate losing to Seminole 65-63.


The Western men built a 13 point lead at one time in the first half and did a good job of maintaining it. Seminole did pull to within seven points twice in the second half but could get no closer.


Sterling Thomas and Dii’Jon Allen-Jordan both scored 22 points to lead the Pioneers. Darnell Glover had 16 points.


Western is now 12-2 on the season.


The Lady Pioneers game with Seminole was a tight one all the way. A shot at the buzzer rimmed off preserving the win for the Belles.


Tatyana Bell scored 21 points to pace Western. Ebony and Mahogany Nelms had 18 points each..


The Western teams will play at Northern of Tonkawa on Monday.
