Western Oklahoma State sophomore left-fielder Bailey Spencer will join a couple of her teammates next year as she announced she has committed to Rogers State University. Teammates Maggie McBrayer and Malori Moss had announced their decision back in the fall to continue their careers at Rogers State. The Hillcats will now benefit from the Pioneers’ first three hitters in the batting order joining their program for the 2015 season.
Spencer, a native of Granbury, Texas, was a first team all-region selection as a freshman a year ago for Region II. She helped the Pioneers to a school record 47 wins and a runner-up finish at the Region II tournament.
Spencer hit .332 with 13 doubles and 10 home runs as a freshman. She also drove in 43 runs and scored 42 times in 199 at-bats.
“These three girls have played together for a long time and continued to have success together at every level,” said Western Oklahoma State head coach Mike McBrayer. “It is thrilling to see them going to the same place where they can continue that success with one another.”
