Mason Toole, 2012 Western Oklahoma State College Graduate and Academic All-American, received two awards at the Oklahoma City University (OCU) this past Sunday.


Mason received induction into the National Student-Athlete Honor Society Chi Alpha Sigma Chapter for the Oklahoma City University. This award is reserved for juniors or above, who have earned a 3.4 grade point average (GPA) or higher, and have lettered in their sport. Mason was also the “Baseball” nominee for the (General) Jim Wade Award.


The Jim Wade Award is the highest honor that a student-athlete can receive at OCU. The Jim Wade Award is given to the member of each team that best exemplifies the attributes of General Jim Wade himself including leadership, community involvement, integrity, and academic and athletic achievement.
