Navajo committed three errors early, and Rattan’s Jordan Jones struck out 11 through the first five innings as the Rams defeated the Indians, 7-1, in a Class A baseball state quarterfinal Thursday at Oklahoma City’s Dolese Park.

The Indians fell behind 3-0 early and never threatened after scoring an unearned run in the third inning.

Wet conditions forced the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association to postpone the Class B state tournament at Edmond Memorial.

Olustee was to meet Leedey at 4 p.m. today in a Class B quarterfinal, following Sentinel’s matchup with Asher scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The other Class B pairings were Lookeba-Sickles vs. Dover and Red Oak vs. Boswell.

In Thursday’s other Class A quarterfinals, Sterling defeated Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, 2-1; Roff routed Preston, 20-0; and Binger-Oney defeated Ripley, 6-2.
