The Navajo High School baseballers booted the ball around on defense behind another complete game on the hill by Curtis Goodson. Goodson earned the 6-3 win over Ninnekah throwing all 6 innings striking out 4 and allowing 6 hits.

“I was really disappointed in our defense today,” Said Head Coach Weston Winters. “It is disheartening because we are a good defensive team.”

Navajo dropped the first game of the Tournament of Champions at Tuttle to Ft. Cobb on Thursday. Despite out-hitting the team from Ft. Cobb 9 hits to 3 hits, the Indians lost the game 2-1

Winters stated, “Braden Box threw a great game for us. We just couldn’t get the the difference making timely hit for him.”

Over the two days of baseball in Tuttle, Dakota McGrory and Jacob Hall and Maxwell Smith were 5 for 6 at the plate. On Saturday, The Eagles from Olustee will meet up with the Indians at Tuttle for a claim to 5th place.
