Sizemore was born in Hollis on April 22, 1932, to Fred and Alta Rhea Sizemore. He attended Hollis High School and graduated in 1949. He served in the Korean War as a member of the United States Army. He later joined the Air Force, earning the rank of first lieutenant and serving as a navigator.
He worked in the industrial insulation business in various cities in the United States, Kuwait and the Caribbean.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Sizemore Royal.
He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, J.D. and Mabel Sizemore of Sebastopol, Calif. and one sister and brother-in-law, Jolene Sizemore Caudle and Jay of Greenville, Texas; two children, son Kevin and his wife Shirley, and their three children, Lauren, Kenan and Morgan of Lake Jackson, Texas, and son, Kyle of Angleton, Texas.
Sizemore will receive military honors.
Gravesite services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038 and will be performed by Pastor Alan Anglin.
