Yesterday, Aug. 6, at approximately 9:14 p.m., officers of the Altus Police Department responded to 205 Horizon Drive on a reported domestic disturbance.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they found that the subject was barricaded inside the apartment refusing to communicate with the officers. Officers on scene were able to ascertain that the subject, Dwayne Eugene Ring, 33, was the only one in the apartment.

He was booked into the Jackson County Jail on an outstanding warrant issued for failure to pay. Additionally, Ring may face charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault Upon a Police Officer, and Destruction of Property.”
