The Altus Chamber of Commerce moved from their office in the NBC building to their new location at 301 W. Commerce this week. From left are Marie Garrison, executive assistant; Lela Lopez, information specialist; and Chamber President Holley Urbanski in the newly remodeled building that was formerly home to Arkla Gas. The new office is also home to the Altus Community Foundation and the Quartz Mountain Music Festival directors offices.
The Chamber’s new building has been remodeled inside and out, with an exterior landscaped to reflect the feeling of Southwest Oklahoma with boulders, foliage and even a pair of buffalo statues. The inside will make any visitor looking for information about the area feel welcome upon entering. The facility also features a conference room configured with all the latest audio/visual capabilities with overhead projection and internet access. The Altus Chamber of Commerce’s office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They closed from 12 to 1 p.m. for lunch.
