The Jackson County Commissioners held their regular Monday meeting on July 16, at 10 a.m.

Jackson County Emergency Manager and Safety Director, Wayne Cain informed the commissioners of the updated Altus/Jackson County Emergency Operations Plan. “There were no major changes,” Cain said. “It’s a living document so it is updated all year, when personnel names and numbers are changed.” The document only needs to be approved annually by the County and City. The commissioners approved the document, which will now go to Mayor David Webb for City approval.

The commissioners approved the minutes from last meeting on July 9.

They approve reports from the Election Board Office.

There were no Officers’ reports.

Blanket purchase orders from the Sheriff’s Department and District 2 were approved.

The commissioners approved a Detention Services Agreement by and between Communityworks for the purpose of detaining juveniles at the Cleveland County Regional Juvenile Detention Center and the Jackson County Commissioners. Commissioner chair Marty Clinton said that they charge $21.74 per day per child.

A Detention Services Agreement by and between Oklahoma Juvenile Justice Services, Inc. and the Jackson County Commissioners was also approved. They charge $23.26 per day per child.

The Resale Budget for FY ending June 30, 2013 was approved.

The Assessor’s Office had submitted paperwork to declare their server and monitor as surplus. These were declared surplus at the June 11 meeting. The commissioners approved the transfer of this equipment to Southwest Technology Center.

In new business, the Election Board received an overtime reimbursement from the Olustee Municipal Elections for $291.14. These funds are placed back in the General Fund.

The claims were approved and the meeting adjourned at 10:18 a.m.
