Eual Conditt Jr., a Burneyville-based engineer, has filed a civil lawsuit against Quartz Mountain Aerospace for over $26,000 for work performed for QMA this past year.
The suit is just one in a line of many that has been filed against the failed airplane manufacturing company including those from the City of Altus for loans, back utility payments and airplane fuel. The City has recently tried to get QMA to turn over an airplane that was used as collateral for a loan, but has been unsuccessful.
First National Bank of Altus is also looking to get $275,000 for outstanding loans and is seeking foreclosure on the lease of the company’s facilities that were used as collateral in a $2 million loan in 1998.
Former employees have also filed with the U.S. Department of Labor for unpaid wages, benefits and insurance claims.
